Using the Quick Search on the top toolbar of Bankersalmanac.com will improve from today. This search facility allows you to find an institution by SWIFT/BIC code, Institution Name or Bankersalmanac.com ID categories. To save you time, Bankersalmanac.com will now automatically remember the category you most recently chose to search by and will default to this the next time you use the Quick Search. You will still be able to search by the other categories should you wish to.
If you regularly search for one type of institution or sometimes find the volume of data in your search results to be larger than you anticipated, Bankersalmanac.com has developed My Search Options to help you achieve more efficient searching.
This new feature enables you to set your preferred search options for the Institution Search, e.g. you can set your to search to include only banks or exclude historical institutions. By setting your preferred search options, Bankersalmanac.com will remember these every time you use the Institution Search. You can change these preferred options as often as you require, simply go to My Profile in the top toolbar and go to My Search Options.
After you have set My Search Options and you are conducting an Institution Search on Bankersalmanac.com, you can override your search options for an individual search. To do this, simply select/deselect the search criteria of your choice on the Institution Search page and continue with your search in the normal way.
The preferred search options you have set in My Search Options will remain as they are.
Please note that you can refine your search on the Institution Search Results page, once you have carried out your search. You can find the Refine Search icon at the top of your search results page and use this to change your original search criteria.
